We work together with our clients to create individualized treatment plans inorder to improve the therapy experience and outcome. We work with individuals of all ages who are finding it difficult to manage their mental health issues and/or life stressors on their own.

Tanya Wenig, LCPC
I am a Liscenced Clinical Professional Counselor-I enjoy so much listening to an individual's "story" and exploring with this individual ideas that may help them reach their full potential. My therapeutic approach includes using creative techniques-and no you don't need to be "artistic" (even though I believe everyone has an inner artist wanting to break free). I combine this with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness in a holistic approach. I have worked with people with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Bipolar, Phobia, Night Terrors, Schizophrenia, Sleep-Wake Disorders, among others.

  1. Make peace with your past, so it won't disturb your present
  2. What other people think of you is none of your business
  3. Time heals almost everything-give it time.
  4. No one is in charge of your happiness. Except you
  5. Don't compare or judge others, don't know their journey
  6. Stop thinking too much. It's ok not to know all the answers
I received by Associates degree from North Idaho College-my main area of studies was psychology.
I received by Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphisis in cultural communications from the University of Idaho. While studying at the U of I, I worked as a teacher's assistant and intern at the Counseling and Testing Center. I graduated in the 10% of my class.
I went on to receive my Masters of Education in Community Counseling at Washington State University. I completed my internship at U of I's Counseling and Testing Center and also worked as a facilitator for an Equine assisted program for children with mental health issues.
I also worked as a case manager/counselor for Sojourner's Alliance-a program for the chronically homeless.
After receiving my master's degree, I continued for three additional years in supervision in order to gain my clinical license.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in private practice and to work with people wanting to reach their full potential.
If you would like more information, please contact me either by phone or email and I would be glad to discuss  with you, your preferences for therapy.
